Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly on Monday evening began moves to impeach Governor Akinwumi Ambode over alleged gross misconduct.
Recall that Ambode has failed to present 2019 budget. There was confusion at Lagos State House of Assembly last week Monday as Lagos State Governor Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode failed to present the 2019 Appropriation bill to the House of Assembly as earlier scheduled.
Although it could not be ascertained why the Governor did not present the Budget, it was gathered that the Governor did not make a formal request to present the Budget before the House.
Ambode controversially lost the APC governorship ticket to Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the party primaries that held in October last year.
