Why Mohamed Salah Won’t Play For Egypt Against Nigeria In Asaba Stadium

In a boost to Liverpool’s Premier League and Champions League hopes, it was agreed that Salah would miss his side’s Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Niger on Saturday and the friendly with Nigeria next Tuesday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta state.

Egyptian FA vice-president Ahmed Shobier told KingFut last month: “Mohamed Salah will not play the Niger game in the AFCON qualifiers or the Nigeria friendly.

“Ahmed Hegazi will probably also be left out of the squad.”

It was gathered that The Reds are happy with reports that Salah will not play against the Eagles, four days after he is also billed to miss his country’s last match of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger Republic.

However, while missing out on Egypt’s trip to Asaba, Liverpool are happy that ‘Salah will relax for two weeks before they turn onto the EPL’s home straight.’
