Final Year Student Killed By Lightning After Leaving Exam Hall

A tragic incident occurred at the Federal College of Education in Pankshin community of Plateau State on Monday September 2, as a final year student of the institution was killed by lightning.

The deceased, who was a student of the Social Studies/Music Department identified as Ponyak Danladi, was killed by a lightning strike at Agric gate while heading home after an exam.

Ponyak, 27, was reportedly sitting for his final examination in National Certificate in Education (NCE) before the sad incident occurred. The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Pankshin General Hospital.

Meanwhile, A final year student of Accounting, Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, Lagos, an affiliate of University of Benin has been shot dead by suspected rival cultists.

Ajayi Samuel also known as “Preacher” was killed during the final students signing out yesterday.

According to reports, some cultists had stormed the school during the final students signing out yesterday and shot sporadically in the air before leaving. However, they returned and trailed Samuel said to be an only child to a canteen where he had gone to eat. While stepping out of the canteen, they shot him in the neck, killing him instantly.
