Tragedy struck in Akinhan Area of Awowo as a tipper lorry crushes a 29-year-old vulcaniser to death in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun state.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the deceased identified as Adeyemi Abiodun popularly known as Olainukan was fixing the flat tyre of a car who broke down on the road when the sad incident occurred on Wednesday.
According to sources, “the deceased was said to have crossed the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway to meet the customer and quickly fixed the bad tyre.
“He was pressed and decided to urinate by the road side during which the tipper which had a brake failure hit him and died instantly, sources disclosed.
It was learnt that “as angry residents prevent other tipper drivers from passing through the road (scene of the incident), the driver of the truck fled immediately.
Normalcy was however restored in the community after about three hours. His remains were deposited at the morgue in Ifo General Hospital, while he was buried last Thursday amid tears by sympathisers.
