Controversial journalist Kemi Olunloyo took to her Instagram page to pen down an emotional tribute to late Majek Fashek, who was reported dead in the early hours of today at age 57. According to madam Kemi, Majek Fashek once told her she was his best music reporter.

Kemi disclosed that Majek carried her off her feet after she interview him years ago before the sickness hit him hard.

Sharing old pictures she took with the deceased, Kemi she wrote;

“Majekodunmi… when u carried me off my feet after our interview, “Kemi you will always be my BEST music reporter” I was interviewing a LEGEND! Thank you for the memories🙏🏽 My last words to you in 2019 while battling illness: Send down the rain..It’s raining. You are now FREE!

Recall that few hours ago, Majek Fashek’s manager Omenka Uzo announced that the legend gave up the ghost at a New York hospital after battling cancer for a while.

“I have been getting pressure calls, well it is true that the African No 1 Legendary ICON has gone to be with the LORD his Maker, Let celebrate him, his achievements, and his family, whatever decisions made by his immediate family will be notified.” he said.
