Singer, Rema reveals how he stole a Laptop in 2017, gives reason for his action

Nigerian singer, songwriter, and Mavins record label signee, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, has left his fans in wonder after taken to his social media account to apologize to a fellow he identified as Eric, for stealing his laptop in 2017.

According to the singer in a post on his verified Twitter account on Monday, September 28, he stole Eric’s Laptop three years ago just so he could save his then-pregnant mother and himself from mockery.

He tweeted;

“Eric, Sorry I stole your Laptop in 2017, I know you were trying to help me. My Mom had a child on the way, I was the only man in my family. They made fun of her because she got pregnant, I wanted to prove them wrong bro, I had to do it.”

Rema’s tweet, however, got his fans confused as they begin to question if something has gone wrong with the singer or that his phone may have been stolen or account hacked.
