COVID-19: Jigawa orders immediate closure of schools, reopens isolation centres

Jigawa State Government has ordered for the closure of public, private secondary and primary schools across the state.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the acting Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education Science and Technology, Alhaji Rabiu Adamu issued on Tuesday.

He said the directive take effect from Tuesday, 15th December, 2020.

The statement, however, directed parents to evacuate their children back home from tomorrow, 16th December, 2020.

He also warned against violation of covid-19 protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.

It said failure to comply with the directives it would lead to enforcements of lockdown.

Meanwhile, the State have recorded twenty-nine new cases of COVID-19 pandemic and has ordered for the reopening of isolation centers in the state.
