Former Minister of Science and Technology, Mr Uche Nnaji, has been apprehended by Nigerian authorities.
He was reportedly arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, while preparing to board a chartered flight to Abuja.
According to Premium Times, the former minister was taken into custody on Wednesday at the airport.
Sources familiar with the development disclosed that Nnaji is expected to be handed over to the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, for interrogation.
The reason for his arrest is unclear, but it may not beunrelatedd to what transpired during histenurey in office.
The ICPC had been closely monitoring the former minister since he resigned from office last year following investigations that revealed he forged his academic certificates
