What started as a seemingly perfect TikTok romance has, in just a few days, turned into a trending social media controversy.
TikTok influencers Etieno Ine Martin, popularly known as Ivana, and Aluko Tunmise Juwonlo, known online as Tunmise, built a large following by sharing dance videos, lifestyle content and moments from their relationship. To many followers, they were one of TikTok’s admired couples.
That image changed dramatically between July 18 and July 20, 2026, when both influencers took to social media with explosive allegations against each other. Both released videos, screenshots, voice notes and lengthy statements in an attempt to defend themselves, turning what was once a private relationship into a very public dispute.
Who Is Ivana?
Ivana, whose real name is Etieno Ine Martin, is a 22-year-old Nigerian TikTok influencer and content creator from Akwa Ibom State.
She built her online presence through dance videos, music content, lifestyle clips and energetic performances that attracted a large audience on TikTok. Over time, she expanded her brand through collaborations with other creators and public appearances, becoming one of the familiar faces among Nigeria’s young social media influencers.
Her relationship with fellow TikToker Tunmise also became a significant part of her online identity. Their videos together helped grow both of their audiences and earned them recognition as one of TikTok’s popular couples.
However, in July 2026, Ivana became the centre of public attention after accusing Tunmise of domestic violence, verbal abuse and repeated infidelity, allegations that quickly went viral across social media.
Who Is Tunmise?
Aluko Tunmise Juwonlo, popularly known as Tunmise, is also a Nigerian TikTok influencer and content creator.
Known for his engaging videos and collaborations, Tunmise built a sizeable following on the platform before his relationship with Ivana became public.
Together, they regularly shared dance trends, comedy videos, challenges and livestreams, presenting themselves as a happy couple. Their relationship became part of their personal brands, with many followers investing emotionally in their journey.
That public image has since been replaced by a series of emotional videos, accusations and counter-accusations, placing Tunmise at the centre of one of TikTok’s most talked-about relationship disputes.
How Ivana and Tunmise’s Relationship Became Public
Unlike many relationships that remain largely private, Ivana and Tunmise openly shared theirs with millions of viewers.
Their pages featured collaborative dance videos, humorous skits, couple challenges and livestreams that portrayed a loving relationship. Followers watched them celebrate birthdays, attend events together and frequently support each other’s content.

However, that carefully curated image began to unravel when personal disagreements spilled onto social media. What initially appeared to be an ordinary breakup soon escalated into a public battle, with both influencers releasing private conversations, screenshots, voice notes and deeply personal details about their relationship.
How The Breakup Became Public
The controversy erupted on Saturday, July 18, 2026, when Ivana shared a series of emotional posts accusing Tunmise of physically and verbally abusing her during their relationship.
Alongside her allegations, she posted videos showing injuries she claimed resulted from the abuse. In one emotional video, she said:
“See my whole body… see what he did to me… he even pressed my neck… see blood on my hand… I am so tired.”
Ivana also shared a lengthy statement describing incidents she alleged happened during their relationship. Recalling one alleged altercation, she wrote:
“This was the night you pushed me from the stairs… the next day I was supposed to travel to Asaba to get my award… I cleaned my tears… I went to get my award with pains.”
She further alleged that arguments frequently became violent and claimed Tunmise often apologised afterwards. According to Ivana, the emotional toll eventually made it impossible for her to continue the relationship.
Beyond allegations of physical abuse, Ivana accused Tunmise of repeated infidelity and emotional abuse. She claimed there were occasions when he allegedly planned to meet other women during their relationship and said another woman once shared a photograph of him in his underwear.
Ivana also admitted that she cheated during the relationship but insisted it happened after enduring repeated infidelity and emotional distress. In one of her posts, she wrote:
“All of a sudden you are telling people I cheated .. yes l did .. you want date? June 2025!!! … yes I lied to you…. I no gree talk true but who later told you ?
Should I show them when I posted that myself?? Cos I couldn’t endure how you beat me Or you want to show them how someone vid me in the hotel reception? Send the vid for me I’ll post all that”
However, she argued that her actions came after what she described as months of abuse and betrayal. She added:
“…now should I open your folder ???
Should I talk about your four months relationship??
Should I talk about another one when I was lying down on the bed and you sent money to a girl to go book hotel so you go meet her?
Or should I talk bout the one the snapped you with boxers on the bed You keep saying after everything you have done for me … what have you done for me ??.”
She also alleged that Tunmise negatively affected her career. According to Ivana, he persuaded her to post a controversial apology video to Wizkid’s fanbase after an earlier online controversy, despite her concerns about the backlash.
She claimed the incident eventually cost her an opportunity to perform at a major Davido event. In her words:
“I should talk about what you made me do concerning Davido and Wizkid ?? How I begged you that night not to post that vid .. you knew the outcome but you still said i should.. and even when i deleted it you still told me to bring it back,.
I kept on telling you that people won’t see it that way you said I should post it and then I missed that great performance.. is it Wizkid day too! ?? Omo should I ?
Yes you were trying to help you were trying to be supportive you were supportive
But you knew how everything will turn out and you still did it and still blamed me!!! Omo I’ve survived.”
Ivana also accused Tunmise of owing her money and, in a later social media post, shared a screenshot of a ₦200,000 transfer while claiming he still owed her a total of ₦300,000.
Mocking one of Tunmise’s explanations about their relationship, she jokingly referred to herself as his “able plumber,” a remark that quickly gained traction online.
Tunmise’s Response
A day later, on Sunday, July 19, 2026, Tunmise responded in a series of lengthy videos, rejecting Ivana’s allegations and presenting his own version of events.
He denied physically abusing her and instead alleged that Ivana was often the aggressive partner during arguments. To support his claims, he shared screenshots of conversations which he said showed Ivana apologising for having a bad temper and asking him to reconcile with her.
Tunmise also accused Ivana of being unfaithful. According to him, she travelled to Calabar under the pretext of attending an event but instead reunited with her former boyfriend. He claimed he only discovered the alleged affair after receiving messages, photographs and videos from a woman he identified as the former boyfriend’s current girlfriend.
“Ivana went to see her ex in Calabar,” Tunmise said.
“The same ex she painted the worst to me. I was trying to do better than her ex… that was the person you went back to.”
Despite the alleged discovery, Tunmise said he chose to forgive Ivana because her birthday was only weeks away. He shared:
“I forgive Ivana and left the whole thing.”
Claims Of Financial Support
Tunmise also rejected suggestions that he neglected Ivana financially. According to him, he spent heavily trying to save the relationship.
He claimed he paid ₦150,000 per day for a hotel where they stayed for about three weeks while attempting to reconcile. He also alleged that he regularly paid for shopping trips and financially supported not only Ivana but several members of her family.
These claims have been disputed by Ivana, who has maintained that he still owes her money.
The Leaked Voice Notes And Recurring Infections
One of the most widely discussed parts of Tunmise’s response involved leaked voice notes in which he called Ivana offensive names.

By Monday, July 20, 2026, the dispute had escalated further. Tunmise released a recording of a phone conversation he said he had with Ivana’s father.
In the recording, Ivana’s father could be heard consoling Tunmise and promising to speak with his daughter. He also reportedly asked that the social media posts about the relationship be taken down in an effort to reduce the public fallout.
