Manchester United against Tottenham was originally a 15:00 game. It moved to 17:30 so Sky could show it. The other Saturday games at 15:00 have no live UK broadcast because of the long-standing blackout on 3pm kick-offs, which leaves only two Saturday matches with a UK channel.
Also mark 25 October in the diary. UK clocks go back that weekend, and since Nigeria does not change its clocks, UK kick-offs will start an hour later on a Nigerian watch from then on.
How to watch this weekend’s Premier League games
In the UK, Arsenal v Leeds is on TNT Sports, with coverage starting at 11am. Sky Sports has the other five televised games: Manchester United v Tottenham, Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest, Hull v Everton, Liverpool v Manchester City and Monday night’s Coventry v Newcastle. Chelsea v Bournemouth is not on UK television.
In Nigeria, SuperSport carries the Premier League on DStv and GOtv, and the DStv Now app lets you stream on a phone. Which SuperSport channel shows which match depends on your package and the day’s schedule, so check your decoder’s guide on the morning of the game rather than trusting a channel number from last month.
In the US, the league is split across NBC, USA Network, NBCSN and Peacock, with Spanish-language coverage on Telemundo and Universo. The early start means a 7:30am kick-off on the East Coast for Arsenal v Leeds.
Premier League table before Matchweek 6
Nothing has changed in the standings since 20 September, so this is a clean snapshot of where all 20 clubs stand before a ball is kicked. Figures are from the table as updated on 9 October.

Five teams are still unbeaten: Manchester City, Brentford, Leeds, Liverpool and Everton. Three are still waiting for a first win: Bournemouth, Fulham and Tottenham. Some of those records are under real threat this weekend, with Brentford at Villa, Leeds at Arsenal and Everton at Hull all on the card, plus the City-Liverpool meeting where both sides arrive unbeaten.
Saturday: Premier League fixtures and match previews
Arsenal v Leeds United (12:30, TNT Sports)
The champions have a small problem to fix. Arsenal won their first four league games and then lost the fifth, so they arrive after their only defeat of the campaign and sit second, three points behind City. Leeds are an awkward opponent for that mood. They have two wins and three draws, and with three goals conceded they own the best defence in the division. Expect Arsenal to have most of the ball and Leeds to make every pass in the final third a struggle. Confirmed line-ups usually land about an hour before kick-off.
Chelsea v Bournemouth (15:00, no UK broadcast)
Chelsea have seven points from five games under Xabi Alonso, and their last three results read loss, draw, loss. The club says Alonso is pleased with how the squad used the extra training time during the break, and he expects a difficult afternoon at Stamford Bridge. Bournemouth are the first team in the relegation zone, winless with three draws and two defeats. A home win is the sensible pick, but Chelsea have let in 12 goals in five games, and the visitors will fancy their chances of scoring.
Aston Villa v Brentford (15:00)
This is the most lopsided pairing in the table. Brentford are fourth and unbeaten, with ten goals scored and four conceded. Villa are 16th with one win from five and only four goals scored. Brentford’s start is built on draws (three) more than wins (two), which gives Villa a way in if they stay tight and avoid conceding first.
Ipswich Town v Fulham (15:00)
Ipswich are 11th with two wins and three defeats, and they have conceded 11 goals. Fulham are 19th and winless under Álvaro Arbeloa, who took charge in July after Marco Silva’s contract ended. Two of their five results are draws, the latest a 1-1 against Manchester United, so a first win is not far off. Portman Road should be tense.
Sunderland v Brighton (15:00)
Brighton are third with the league’s best goal difference (+11) and its most goals (16). Their 5-0 win at Coventry on 13 September is the biggest away win of the season so far. Sunderland are on a bad run. They have lost their last two, including a 5-3 defeat at Manchester City on 20 September that showed how open they can be at the back. This looks like a game with goals in it, and Brighton are the likelier side to score more.
Manchester United v Tottenham (17:30, Sky Sports)
The late game pairs two sides who both need something. United are 12th with five points from five, having scored eight and conceded eight. They lost 2-0 to Hull, lost 1-0 at home to Manchester City on 13 September, and drew 1-1 with Fulham in their last outing. Michael Carrick is now the permanent manager, and he is still looking for his first run of wins.
Tottenham, under Roberto De Zerbi, are in worse shape: bottom, two points, no win, and two goals scored in five matches. Reports ahead of the game list Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert, Mykhailo Mudryk and Dejan Kulusevski as unavailable. United won this fixture 2-0 at Old Trafford in February. The home side are favourites, but a team that has barely scored can still hurt you if one counter-attack comes off.
Sunday: Premier League fixtures and match previews
Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest (14:00, Sky Sports)
There is a story attached to this one. Oliver Glasner left Palace when his contract ended in May, after leading the club to the FA Cup in 2025. Forest sacked Vítor Pereira on 2 July and hired Glasner four days later, so he now returns to Selhurst Park in the away dugout. Pierre Sage, who replaced him at Palace, will be across the touchline.
On the pitch, both clubs sit in the bottom half. Forest are 13th with five points and a goal difference of -1. Palace are 15th with four points and have conceded 11 goals. The home crowd will want a reaction, and Glasner knows exactly what that crowd sounds like.
Hull City v Everton (14:00, Sky Sports)
Two sides whose seasons have started better than most people predicted. Everton are unbeaten with two wins and three draws, and they have conceded only three goals. Hull, newly promoted, are eighth with eight points, and they beat Manchester United 2-0 earlier in the campaign. Hull’s last result was a defeat, though, so Everton come in as the steadier side. A draw would suit neither, and it would not be a surprise.
Liverpool v Manchester City (16:30, Sky Sports)
This is the one everyone will watch. City, now managed by Enzo Maresca after Pep Guardiola resigned in June, have won all five league games and scored 13 goals, five of them by Erling Haaland. Liverpool, under Andoni Iraola since early June, are unbeaten but have drawn three of their five and scored only seven goals.
Team news leans towards City. Previews report no fitness concerns for the visitors, while Liverpool are missing Hugo Ekitike, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni and Federico Chiesa, with Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo doubtful. A City win would take them to 18 points and leave Liverpool nine behind. A Liverpool win would pull the leaders back into the pack and hand Iraola his first big result at Anfield.
Monday: Coventry City v Newcastle United (20:00, Sky Sports)
The weekend ends under lights at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Coventry are 17th with three points and have scored once all season, which came in their most recent game, a 1-0 win. Before that they lost 5-0 to Brighton. Newcastle are ninth with eight points and a 9-9 goal record, which suggests a team still finding its balance after a summer of change. Eddie Howe resigned on 30 July and Matthias Jaissle took over on 5 August. Coventry need goals, and Newcastle have shown they will give up a few.
Talking points from Matchweek 6
Can anyone stop City? They are the only side with a 100 per cent record, and Anfield is the first serious test of the Maresca era.
Are Arsenal rattled? One defeat in five is not a crisis, but Leeds’ defensive record makes this a harder 12:30 start than it looks on paper.
How long can Tottenham go without a win? De Zerbi’s side have scored twice in five games, and Old Trafford is not an easy place to find a first real attacking performance.
Which unbeaten record goes first? Five clubs have not lost yet, and four of them are playing opponents with a decent shot at a result.
