State Police Bill: Full List of 24 States That Approved It

Nigeria State Police Bill: 2026 Constitutional Amendment

More states have ratified the bill, which seeks to give subnational governments more authority, control, and responsibility over security matters within their domains as Nigeria moves to restructure and decentralise its policing architecture and framework.

Recall that the National Assembly passed the state police Bill into law in June.
