“At the start of my term (in 2013), I had a dream that the Olympic Games would be held in Africa during my tenure, but that is not going to happen.”

“I hope that by 2036 or 2040, when I leave office, an African country will enter into negotiations with the IOC to host the Olympic Games.”

“Seeing the games in Africa is very important, but the ball is currently in the court of the African countries,” he added.

According to NAN, 21 young reporters from various countries are in Lausanne for a media training organized by the AIPS, along with Ijeoma Okigbo of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
