Presidency 2023: Kogi Youth Endorse Yayaha Bello for President

Gov. Yahaya Bello

Youths in the North-Central Geopolitical Zone have endorsed Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi for the presidency in 2023, saying he is the only hope for the nation’s yearnings for unity, security, and economic advancement to be realized.

The youths revealed this in a Town Hall meeting attended by a large number of members who stormed the state capital in their thousands on Tuesday in Lokoja, under the aegis of Yahaya Bello Network (YBN).

They stated that the country’s unity, security of lives and property, and economic prosperity are critical and can only be realized with dynamic leadership.

Alhaji Abdulrahman Muhammed, popularly known as Abdul Amart Mai Kwashewa, the Convener and National Chairman of the YBN, stated that the Network is working to ensure the implementation of the “Not Too Young To Rule” Act and to encourage Gov. Bello to run for President in 2023.

Muhammed noted that the governor had demonstrated his mettle as a capable leader in Kogi and, as such, is capable of leading the country out of the woods and delivering it from its numerous challenges.

“God has blessed this state with a pragmatic leader and the youngest governor in Nigeria,” he said of Gov. Bello, adding, “God has blessed this state with a pragmatic leader and the youngest governor in Nigeria.”

“I have never seen a leader who cares so much about the welfare of youths,” Muhammed said, praising the governor for ensuring gender equality in his administration.

“He has more youths and women in his administration than any other state in the country,” he said.

Kwashewa praised Gov. Bello’s stance on COVID-19 and the state’s security, saying, “There was a crisis of insecurity in the state before he took the mantle of leadership, and today, Kogi is one of the safest states in the country.”

Alhaji Abdullahi Bello, Kogi State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), also spoke, saying that history is being made in Nigerian political terrain, with youths now taking their destiny into their own hands to support one of their own.

Abdullahi stated that a Yahaya Bello presidency will ensure adequate reward for hard work, excellence, and dedication, noting that the country’s leadership has lacked a good-rewarding system over the years.

Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, Deputy Speaker of the Kogi House of Assembly, praised the YBN convener for the group’s evolution across Nigerian states.

“Our priority as Kogi people is to see Gov. Yahaya Bello become President because of the quality of leadership he possesses,” he said.

“With him, the Nigerian dream will be realized.” Yahaya Bello is our body language, thinking, and dream, and our dreams will come true and become a reality.”

Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), described Gov. Bello’s ambition as timely in light of the country’s current challenges.

“We are grateful to God for providing Bello to us at this time,” he said.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Town Hall meeting also included the inauguration of the YBN’s Kogi State executive council.
