Miss Health Beauty International pageant postponed due to Omicron Variant

Mr Nick Bebiem, CEO of Miss Health Beauty Peagent, announced on Wednesday that the 2021 edition of the pageant would be postponed due to the newly discovered COVID-19 Omicron variant.

Bebiem made the remarks at a press conference hosted by the Miss Health Beauty International in Abuja.

According to him, the earlier scheduled date of December 11 has been canceled.

Bebiem stated that this decision was made due to the newly discovered COVID-19 “Omicron Variant” as revealed by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

“The 2021 Miss Health Beauty Pageant, which was scheduled to take place on December 11, has been canceled and postponed due to the recent discovery of the new” Omicron Variant “in Nigeria.”

“As a result, in accordance with the Miss Health Beauty Pageant objectives, mission, and vision, it has become unavoidably necessary to postpone the Miss Health Beauty Pageant 2021.”

“All contestants have been asked to leave the camp, and they have done so immediately,” he said.

Bebiem stated that information on a new date for the pageant would be communicated to contestants and members of the public later.

He apologized profusely for any inconveniences the decision may have caused the pageant’s contestants and fans.

Bebiem urged Nigerians to take all precautions announced by the NCDC in order to limit the spread of the new variant.

He praised the government for its quick response in dealing with the “Omicron Variant.”
