The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun Sector Command, has commended the Federal Government for the level of work carried out on the expressways within the state.
The FRSC, Ogun Sector Commander, Mr Ahmed Umar, made the commendation in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ota, Ogun.
Umar said that most of the expressways within the corridor of the state were now at a level of over 80 per cent completion and motorist were able to ply the road free without inconvenience
“The Federal Government is doing everything possible to ensure that the roads within the corridors are completed within the shortest time,” he said.
The sector commander implored motorists, especially during this festive season, against overspeeding to avoid road crashes.
“We call on the drivers to maintain safe speed so as to enjoy quality road experience and stem crashes during yuletide,” he said.
Umar said that most of the crashes across the state could be attributed to overspeeding, impatience or human factor and abuse of traffic rules and regulations.
