TAJBank Nigeria Limited, a major Nigerian non-interest banking services provider, has achieved three International Standards Organization (ISO) certifications for its dedication to customer safety assurance, service quality, and business operations resilience.

Mr. Hamid Joda, the bank’s Founder and Managing Director, said in a statement on Tuesday.

Joda stated that the certification by Certification Partner Global (CPG) comes on the heels of the bank’s numerous domestic and international awards over the last three months.

“TAJBank’s most recent certifications include ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and ISO 20000 on Information Security, Business Continuity, and IT Service Management Systems.”

“They demonstrate the bank’s commitment to prioritizing business operation resilience, customer safety, and service excellence at all times,” he said.

He went on to say that TAJBank’s receipt of the ISO 27001 certification demonstrated to customers that the bank had implemented appropriate information security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their information.

“The ISO 22301 certification also demonstrates that TAJBank’s business operations are carried out in accordance with best practices to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from unexpected and disruptive incidents.”

“Similarly, ISO 20000 demonstrates that TAJBank uses IT as a business enabler by utilizing a robust service management system in the delivery of IT-related services, as well as regularly optimizing technology for its current and future needs,” he said.

Joda assured the bank’s management that it was fully aware of the risks and implications of using technology to drive business.

“This necessitates an increased awareness of our roles and responsibilities in ensuring that we actively participate in adhering to international best practices and standards,” he said.

Meanwhile, TAJBank’s Executive Director and Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Sherif Idi, stated that the bank was one of the few in the country to effectively integrate and pass three demanding management criteria.

“This certification has further positioned and strengthened TAJBank’s mission to continuously advance our digital banking strategy for world-class financial services that enable our clients’ security, outstanding services, and meet regulatory standards,” he assured.
