LG chief urges Nasarawa Govt to clear illegal structures in Doma

The Chairman, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Mr. Ahmed Usman, has appealed to Nasarawa Urban Development Board (NUDB) to clear all illegal structures on the roadsides in the area.

Usman, who made the appeal during his visit to the management of NUDB in Lafia on Friday, said that it would ease traffic flow in the area.

The chairman said that his visit was to seek the board’s intervention in the clearance of illegal structures in the area.

“I want to appeal to you to rescue the people of Doma from danger by clearing illegal structures erected by the roadsides,” he said.

Usman assured the board of the council’s readiness to support them to succeed in carrying out their activities.

The chairman commended the state governor, Abdullahi Sule, for his developmental strides in the state.

He said that his commitment to key into positive policies and programmes would have a direct bearing on the lives of the people.

Responding, Mr. Mohammed Wada, the board Managing Director, assured the council of the board’s continued support for public office holders with developmental initiatives.
