Kwara Gov. commiserates with Olawuyi over mother’s death

Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has commiserated with a House of Representatives member, Tunji Olawuyi, over the death of his mother, Alhaja Sifawu Olawuyi.

The governor’s condolence message to Olawuyi, popularly known as Ajuloopin, is contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, in Ilorin on Saturday.

“Our heartfelt condolences to Hon. Ajuloopin and his siblings over the death of their mother.”

“We urge them to take solace in the impactful life of their mother and more importantly, in the will of Allah who gives and takes life.”

“We beseech Allah to grant mama Al-Jannah Firdaus and give her children and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.” the statement said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the lawmaker’s mother died at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Ilorin on Saturday, at the age of 86.

NAN also reports that a Janazah prayer, attended by hundreds of Muslim faithful at the family compound of the deceased in Omu-Aran, headquarters of Irepodun Local Government Area, was led by the Chief Imam of the town, Alhaji Sodeeq Alalobo.

Among the eminent personalities at the Janazah prayer were the member representing Isin/Irepodun federal constituency, Hon. Rasaq Owolabi, the state Commissioner for Communications, Bode Towoju, and Chairman of Isin local council, Tunde Fadipe.
