2023: Adamu promises to build on Badaru’s achievements in Jigawa

House of Reps

Alhaji Farouk Adamu, a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says he will consolidate and build on the achievements of Gov. Muhammad Badaru’s administration, if elected governor of Jigawa.

Adamu, a former member House of Representatives, said this while declaring his intention to run for the 2023 gubernatorial election on Wednesday in Dutse.
He also said that he would continue with Badaru’s projects and open-up new communities to make life and other services easier to the people.
The governorship aspirant said that rewards and punishment would only be the difference between his administration and that of Badaru.
“I would also like to note the efforts of present government in economic empowerment initiatives undertaken by the government.
“Specifically, the goat rearing scheme has become a national model, adopted by other states. Loans to small scale farmers and petty traders have been sourced and provided,” he said.
Adamu said if elected, his administration would transform Jigawa using his “vast experience and network of relationships in both private and public life have adequately ingrained in me the qualities required to provide purposeful leadership that will further galvanise the state to attain its manifest destiny.
Reports have it that Adamu is going to face seven other aspirants in the primary election slated for May 20.
Adamu,  however, announced that there was plans ahead of the primaries by the eight aspirants to meet and possibly agree on consensus candidate for smooth electioneering.
