2023: Ex-minister Bilbis calls for unity among Zamfara PDP supporters

The Candidate for Peoples Democratic Party Zamfara Central Senatorial District, Alhaji Ikira Bilbis, has called for unity among party supporters in the state.

Bilbis made the call in an interview with our correspondent shortly after winning  the party’s primaries held in Gusau, Zamfara on Tuesday.

Bilbis said the just-concluded primaries which he won the party’s ticket, was  well contested as  the process was free, fair  and transparent.

He expressed happiness that all contestants accepted the outcome of the  primaries conducted by Alhaji Kabiru Usman-led PDP National Primaries Committee sent to the state.

He, therefore, appealed to the party supporters from the various camps to unite and work for the party’s success for the Zamfara Central Senatorial District in the 2023 polls.

“I am appealing to all those who contested with me  to team up and support the ticket  for the success of party in the forthcoming 2023 general election.”

According to the former minister,  every party member is equal before him; “what is important is for all of us  to put our hands on deck to make sure the party wins In the  general election in the state and nation as a whole”.

Bilbis  promised to use his experience to work for a better Zamfara state if elected to the Senate.

He pledged to sponsor bills that would restore permanent peace, security of life and property as well as law and order in the state.

The former minister said with adequate security, farmers would fully return to their farms and the state would witness faster development.

He advised PDP loyalists in the state to continue to be law abiding citizens as they prepared for the  2023 general elections.
