our correspondent reports that the state delegates of the party expressed hope in the popularity of the candidate, promised support for him and envisaged victory at the poll.

In her address at the event, APP Lagos State Chairperson, Mrs Adeyemi Abiola, said that the party was in the race to win and  provide democratic dividends for the masses.

Abiola called on Ojo youths to support the candidate, who she described as a charismatic leader.

She said that, if elected, the candidate would serve to change the lives of the people positively.

According to her, the party, though new in the area, has people-oriented policies capable of impacting the society well.

“We have been voting other parties for years without anything to show for it in terms of infrastructure and human development.

“It is time we reject such parties and vote for APP for better representation,” she said.

In his acceptance speech, Obodo described moneybag politics as unproductive, and urged Ojo residents to vote for APP in the 2023 general elections.

He promised to facilitate five developmental projects within six months in office, if elected.

He said that the projects would be in the area of improved healthcare and youth empowerment through agribusiness.

He thanked the delegates for their support and trust in him, promising to carry them along in all things.
