The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has congratulated Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his emergence as presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC).
This is contained in a statement the speaker personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lafia on Thursday.
He also lauded the stakeholders of the party for conducting a peaceful and transparent exercise.
According to the speaker, the development is a signal that APC is united and is a party to beat in 2023.
“I want to congratulate the former Lagos State Governor and National Leader of the party, Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu, for his resounding victory at the polls.
“His emergence was well deserved,” he said.
The Nasarawa state number three citizen said the resounding victory recorded by Tinubu was a clear indication of his general acceptance by the Nigerians.
“The election that ushered in Sen. Ahmed Bola Tinubu as the APC flag bearer is one of the most interesting, peaceful and transparent primary elections in the history of the country with clear victory,” he added.
Abdullahi however called for more unity and strategies by the party ahead of the 2023 general elections for the overall victory of APC.
