The Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) says it can surpass its revenue target if the government can provide more tools and equipment for the agency.
The Director-General of the agency, Olorunshola Omotayo, dropped this hint during the 2022 budget review at the Ministry of Finance Conference Hall in Ilorin on Tuesday.
Omotayo said that signage has a lot of untapped opportunities that would be unlocked if it was well equipped with modern tools and equipment that would enhance its performance as a revenue-generating organization for the state.
The director-general, who listed some equipment like Hayab and operation vans, said signage and outdoor industry had become lucrative industries across the globe.
While commending Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for approving the requests of the agency for the procurement of some equipment last year, he expressed optimism that KWASAA’s request in 2022 would witness the governor’s accelerated approval.
But the state Commissioner for Communications, Olabode Towoju, charged the agency to redouble its efforts to make sure it surpassed the revenue target for the development of the state.
Towoju appealed to residents to have Kwara first in whatever they are doing for the purpose of growth and progress of the state.
He promised that the governor would continue to do his best in a bid to uplift the state.
