Alumni task old boys on positive contribution to education sector

Alumni Association of Ahmadu Bello University has urged members of the association to contribute positively to the growth and development of their alma mater.

This, the association said, was due to the importance of the education sector to human and societal development.

The Chairman, Nasarawa State Chapter of the association, Shuaibu Sani, made the call in Lafia when the state executive members of the association visited the Vice Chancellor of Federal University (FU) Lafia, Prof. Abdulrahman Shehu

He said that the institution had produced personalities in the country, hence the need for members to give to the school what the school has made them.

” Our institution, ABU has graduated many personalities that have and still contributing immensely to the development of the country.

” It is in view of this that I want to call on members of ABU Alumni to contribute positively to the growth and development of the country.

” This is by also contributing to the development of the institution due to the importance of education to the society. No society will achieve meaningful progress and development without a sound education,” he said.

He commended the members of the association, who were contributing positively to the development of the institution and called for its sustenance.

Responding, the Vice Chancellor of the FULafia, appreciated the executive members of the association for their visit.

He assured of his readiness to support the association in the state to succeed.

The VC also pledged not to relent in his efforts in contributing positively to the development of the institution and the state at large.
