APC denies plans to remove Adamawa chairman

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied alleged plans to remove its Adamawa chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, from office.

Mr Raymond Chidama, the state APC secretary, said this when he spoke with newsmen in Yola on Thursday.

Chidama described the allegation as baseless and unfounded, saying that it was the handiwork of opposition parties.

He said that contrary to the rumours, there was unity among all stakeholders in the state toward winning the 2023 General Election.

In other news,  the Nasarawa State Government on Thursday renewed its commitment to the provision of infrastructure development in order to improve the standard of living of the people in the state.

Mr Yahaya Adams, the Special Adviser to Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Rural and Community Development, said this while inspecting ongoing construction of rural roads in Nasarawa South Senatorial district.

He said that Sule had embarked on the provision of infrastructure in order to tackle poverty and boost the socio-economic activities in the state.

“This inspection visit is to ascertain the quality of work done so far with the view of correcting any abnormality, if discovered.

“Gov. Sule has embarked and still embarking on development projects in order to improve on the standard of living of our people.

“As this will help in tackling poverty and boost the socio-economic activities of the people of the state.

“As the importance for the provision of Infrastructure to human and societal development could not be overemphasised,” he said.

Adams expressed happiness with the quality of work done so far, saying that the state government is determined to provide more infrastructures in the state.

“I feel happy with the good works done so far, plans are on for the provision of more projects across the state,” he added.

The special adviser therefore called on the people of the state to continue to support the governor to succeed beyond 2023 in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

Also speaking, Mr Rilwanu Abubakar, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to governor on Rural and Community Development, commended Sule for keying into people’s oriented projects in the state.

He said that the governor’s developmental strides across the state had impacted on the lives of its citizens.

Reports have it that some of the projects inspected are the Obi/Assakio road, Agwade/Atabula road, Idadu/ Agbashi road, St. John Bosco/Government College road, all in Southern part of the state
