Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa<\/a> of Delta has commiserated with the Chairman, Silverbird Group, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce, on the demise of his mother, Mrs Margaret Murray-Bruce.<\/p>\n

Mrs Murray-Bruce died on Tuesday at the age of 95.<\/p>\n

Okowa, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika, on Tuesday in Asaba, said that it was sad to hear of Margaret\u2019s death. He said it was a loss not just to the Murray-Bruce family but to the society at large.<\/p>\n

The Governor said the contributions of the deceased matriarch of Murray-Bruce family to society was laudable.<\/p>\n

He urged the children and other family members to be consoled by the legacies she left behind.<\/p>\n

\u201cI learnt of the passing of Mama Margaret Murray-Bruce, the mother of my good friend and brother, Sen. Ben Murray-Bruce. It\u2019s usually very heart-breaking to lose a parent at whatever age.”<\/p>\n

\u201dI am nonetheless consoled by the fact that Mama Murray-Bruce lived a worthy and exemplary life, and known to have impacted on many lives while she lived.”<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta, I condole with my dear brother, Ben Murray-Bruce, on the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Margaret Murray-Bruce,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Okowa noted that it was indeed a painful loss but urged Ben, and the entire family to take solace in the fact that she lived a life of great accomplishments and left indelible footprints.<\/p>\n

\u201dIt is our prayer that God should grant you and the family the fortitude to bear this great loss,\u201d Okowa said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
