The latest report has revealed that eighteen of the 22 members of the Zamfara House of Assembly<\/a> have moved in favour of the impeachment of the Deputy Governor, Alhaji \u00a0Mahadi Aliyu-Gusau.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis followed a motion at the house plenary moved by the deputy speaker of the house and Chairman, \u00a0House Committee on Public Accounts, Musa Bawa (APC-Tsafe East) and seconded by Yusuf Kanoma \u00a0(APC- Maru North).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Speaker, Nasiru Magarya, who presided over the plenary, directed the Clerk of the House, Shehu Saidu-Anka to\u00a0effect voting for every member of the house that attended the plenary as required by the law.<\/p>\n

\u201cEighteen out of the 22 members of the house voted in support of the impeachment of the deputy governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe speaker announced the assembly\u2019s resolution requesting the state Chief Judge, Justice Kulu Aliyu, to immediately constitute a panel to investigate all the allegations levelled against the deputy governor,\u201c\u00a0 a statement issued by the Director-General, Press Affairs and Public Relations to the house, Mustafa Jafaru-Kaura said.<\/p>\n

The statement said action taken by the house was in line with the provision of Section 188 (5) of the constitution,\u00a0 as amended.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
