A man, Zachariah Jinge on Monday dragged his younger brother, Ngusha, before a Makurdi Upper Area Court for allegedly displacing him of his birthright.<\/p>\n

The brothers admitted that their aged father, who retired from the Benue Civil Service<\/a> in 1796 was ill and currently staying with a relation.<\/p>\n

In his petition, Jinge, alleged that his younger brother has taken away his birthright (father\u2019s house).<\/p>\n

\u201dMy brother collects rent from their our father\u2019s house without my knowledge. By this, he has displaced me of my birthright as the oldest son of the family.<\/p>\n

\u201dAll efforts made to stop my younger brother failed,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He prayed the court for an order, restraining his younger brother from further renting their father\u2019s houses and shop.<\/p>\n

The defendant, Ngusha, prayed for an adjournment to open his defence.<\/p>\n

Magistrate Dooshima Ikpambese adjourned the case until March 28 for defence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
