The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB)<\/a><\/strong> says it has approved <\/span>the promotion of 3,466 general duty and support staff officers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/header>\n

This latest development was made known via a statement issued <\/span>on Tuesday in Abuja by\u00a0<\/span>Deputy Comptroller Timi Bomodi,\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the NCS Public Relations Officer, the approval was done on March 29 during the board\u2019s 54th regular meeting.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
\n
Bomodi stated that the meeting was presided over by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning and Chairman, NCS Board, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She highlighted the importance of discipline and engendering a work ethics based on transparency and an all-encompagssing reward system.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to Bomodi, Ahmed commended the\u00a0 Management of NCS for breaking new grounds in trade facilitation and revenue generation in 2021.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She urged the newly promoted officers to redouble their efforts in achieving the goals of the service in 2022.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
The statement said that Comptroller Officers promoted included\u00a0<\/span>SA Bomoi, AA Anthony, BO Olumo, CK Niagwan, MM Tilleygyado, MC Ugbagu, CD Wada, A Bako, AM Adegbite, KI Adesola (Mrs), NP Umoh, OO Orbih and RC Nwankwo.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
It further said that officers whose promotion had\u00a0 Jan. 1, 2021 as their effective date are <\/span>Deputy Comptroller to Comptroller of Customs (GD) \u2013 (31),\u00a0<\/span>Deputy Comptroller to Comptroller of Customs (SS) \u2013 (3).<\/span><\/div>\n

Others included Assistant Comptroller of Customs to Deputy Comptroller of Customs (GD) \u2013 (84), Assistant Comptroller of Customs to Deputy Comptroller of Customs (SS) \u2013 (1), Chief Superintendent of Customs to Assistant Comptroller of Customs (GD) \u2013 (212).<\/div>\n
