{"id":17439,"date":"2022-04-09T15:15:35","date_gmt":"2022-04-09T15:15:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=17439"},"modified":"2022-04-09T15:15:35","modified_gmt":"2022-04-09T15:15:35","slug":"totalenergies-partners-inaugurate-4-projects-in-south-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/09\/totalenergies-partners-inaugurate-4-projects-in-south-east\/","title":{"rendered":"TotalEnergies, partners inaugurate 4 projects in South-East"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\" aria-label=\"Content\">\n<p class=\"entry-title\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">TotalEnergies and its partners have inaugurated four projects in the southeastern part of the country as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>TotalEnergies announced this in a statement posted on its website.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said the projects included a maternal and child referral centre, mammography centre, and solar-powered treated borehole water facilities.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the Maternal and Child Referral Centre built inside the General Hospital, Baraki, Arochukwu in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/01\/2023-elections-ex-defence-minister-joins-race-for-abia-central-senatorial-district-seat\/\">Abia<\/a>, was inaugurated on April 1.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project is a fully equipped maternal and child referral centre, complete with state-of-the art facilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey include a main reception and waiting area of 30 persons sitting capacity, wards for children, mother and neo natal, theatre, recovery and stabilisation rooms, two consultation rooms, nurse bay, technical room, and medical record office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe facilities include equipped laboratory, equipped modern theatre, delivery room with two multi-purpose delivery beds, two pharmacy stores and two changing rooms and a borehole installation.<\/p>\n<p>The statement said it included a power supply of 60KVA generator, solar power of 15KVA installed, toilets for staff and patients, and fully furnished with relevant seats, tables, examination bed, and air conditioning equipment.<\/p>\n<p>It said TotalEnergies and its partners also inaugurated and handed over a Mammography Centre at Imo State Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe state-of-the-art facility includes a main reception and waiting area of 21 persons sitting capacity, radiologist\u2019s office, mammography technicians\u2019 bay and changing room two patients\u2019 changing rooms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt also includes clinical examination room, treatment room, Bard Magnum Breast Lump Biopsy Set for image-guided breast lump biopsies, as well as the Senographe Pristina 3D equipment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis equipment delivers 3D imaging at lowest radiation exposure with superior diagnostic accuracy in the detection of breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt offers Digital Breast Tomosyntheses and Stereotaxy for enhanced image-guided biopsy and has capacity to process 120 examinations per day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is ideal for screening exercises. The facility comes complete with a 40kva generator for stable power supply,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The statement quoted the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Prosper Success Ohanwawa, as saying that the facility would help in early detection which would, in turn, mitigate death cases arising from breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p>It also quoted Dr Ifeanyi Nwamba, Chief Medical Director, IMSUTH, as saying that provision of the facility by TotalEnergies and partners, demonstrated deep commitment to the state.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TotalEnergies and its partners have inaugurated four projects in the southeastern part of the country as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
