{"id":17619,"date":"2022-04-10T05:29:46","date_gmt":"2022-04-10T05:29:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=17619"},"modified":"2022-04-10T05:32:24","modified_gmt":"2022-04-10T05:32:24","slug":"live-saving-operations-important-to-frsc-official","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/10\/live-saving-operations-important-to-frsc-official\/","title":{"rendered":"Live Saving Operations Important To FRSC- official"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The former Pankshin Unit<br \/>\nCommander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in<br \/>\nPlateau, Mr Nnamdi Ikeh-Akabogu Plateau, says the<br \/>\ncorps priortises live-saving above other operations.<\/p>\n<p>Ikeh-Akabogu, the newly promoted Deputy Corps<br \/>\nCommander made this known in a telephone interview<br \/>\nwith our reporter in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/03\/23\/federal-university-lokoja-receives-n1bn-from-tetfund-for-senate-building-construction\/\">Lokoja<\/a> on<br \/>\nSaturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy heart bleeds whenever I see victims of road<br \/>\naccidents wailing in pain and sorrow with blood all<br \/>\naround them.<br \/>\n\u201cAs a corps commanding officer, the strategies to<br \/>\nfight against motorists recklessness should be<br \/>\nimplored to save the lives of innocent souls travelling<br \/>\non our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2021\/11\/24\/yuletide-exercise-patience-on-highways-frsc-cautions-motorists\/\">highways<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy new promotion is a morale booster to me to put<br \/>\nin all my energy and job experience to bear for the<br \/>\ngood of Nigerians,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He appealed to motorists to guard against over<br \/>\nloading and speeding as well as careless and<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/01\/31\/harmattan-frsc-warns-motorists-against-speeding-dangerous-driving\/\">dangerous<\/a> overtaking on the highways to avoid road<br \/>\naccidents.<\/p>\n<p>Ikeh-Akabogu is a 1996 graduate of History from<br \/>\nUsman Danfodio University, Sokoto, and holds three<br \/>\nmasters degree in History, Public Administration, Law<br \/>\nand Criminal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/05\/buhari-joins-ramadan-tafsir-prays-for-peace-justice\/\">Justice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He spent more than four years in Plateau, where he<br \/>\nbuilt a-100 sitting capacity hall, named Boboye<br \/>\nOyeyemi Hall and other infrastructure between 2016<br \/>\nand 2020 before being posted to Jos and later to<br \/>\nAbuja.<\/p>\n<p>He has held various <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/03\/30\/convention-apc-chieftain-lauds-buharis-leadership-role-in-resolving-partys-crisis\/\">leadership<\/a> positions in the corps<br \/>\nin his 24 years of service with several publications to<br \/>\nhis credit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The former Pankshin Unit Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Plateau, Mr Nnamdi Ikeh-Akabogu Plateau, says the corps priortises live-saving above other operations.
