{"id":18136,"date":"2022-04-12T10:30:21","date_gmt":"2022-04-12T10:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=18136"},"modified":"2022-04-12T10:30:21","modified_gmt":"2022-04-12T10:30:21","slug":"frsc-nurtw-repair-stubborn-obajana-junction-in-kogi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/12\/frsc-nurtw-repair-stubborn-obajana-junction-in-kogi\/","title":{"rendered":"FRSC, NURTW repair \u201cstubborn\u201d Obajana junction in Kogi"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>\u00a0The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and members of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) on Monday repaired the Obajana junction that had consistently caused traffic gridlock along the Kabbah-Lokoja-Abuja road.<\/p>\n<p>reports have it that the repairs on the dilapidated point of the highway was initiated by the Zariagi Unit Command of the FRSC in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/04\/alleged-murder-court-grants-nurtw-chairman-n1m-bail-transfers-case\/\">NURTW<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Moses Odogiyon, the Zariagi Unit Commander of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/12\/5620-drivers-licences-unclaimed-in-delta-state-frsc\/\">FRSC<\/a>, told our correspondent that the damaged junction was largely responsible for the traffic gridlocks experienced along Kabbah-Lokoja-Abuja road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe experience of our officers at this junction on Friday and Saturday was very bitter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause of the bad state of the road, it took us 48 hours to clear the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/10\/frsc-battles-to-clear-48-hour-obajana-kogi-gridlock\/\">gridlock<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, the repairs on the damaged portion is a big achievement to us.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had written to the Federal Ministry of Works and Dangote Cement for assistance, but nothing came.
