The company disclosed this in a statement made available to the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/22\/ngx-asi-continues-positive-trend-gains-0-18\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Nigerian Exchange Ltd<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">., on Thursday in Lagos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The unaudited results showed that Lafarge Africa posted net sales of N90.606 billion, which rose from N71.470 billion in the corresponding period of 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The figure represents an increase of 27.8 percent.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Net Income increased by 92.2 percent to N17.558 billion compared to N9.136 billion recorded in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lafarge Africa, Khaled El Dokani said that the company\u2019s first-quarter 2022 performance showed significant use of affordable clean energy and agro-ecology footprint.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to him, it is in accordance with the net-zero pledge trajectory of the company business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe are equally pleased with the progress we are making on sustainability; our coming after our very strong FY 2021 results, our Q1 2022 performance confirms the continued growth <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">an improvement over Q1 2021, with net sales of +26.8 percent, recurring EBIT of +50.4 percent, and net income of +92.2 percent journey.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe will continue to maximize volume opportunities across our markets and actively manage our costs,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dekoni said that the company expected good demand momentum to continue in the second quarter, while it remains focused on its drive toward sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lafarge Africa Plc, a leading Sub-Saharan Africa building solutions company, is a member of Holcim Ltd., a world leader in building solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is listed on the Nigerian Exchange Ltd.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lafarge Africa Plc has reported improved results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2022.
