{"id":20561,"date":"2022-04-22T14:44:59","date_gmt":"2022-04-22T14:44:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=20561"},"modified":"2022-04-22T14:44:59","modified_gmt":"2022-04-22T14:44:59","slug":"nde-disburses-n4-6m-loan-to-youths-women-in-kebbi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/22\/nde-disburses-n4-6m-loan-to-youths-women-in-kebbi\/","title":{"rendered":"NDE disburses N4.6m loan to youths, women in Kebbi"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p class=\"p1\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/15\/nde-inaugurates-scheme-to-train-138-farmers-in-rivers\/\"><strong>National Directorate of Employment (NDE),<\/strong><\/a> has disbursed loans totalling N4.6 million to 228 unemployed youths in Kebbi State.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Director-General of the NDE, Malam Abubakar Nuhu-Fikpo, made this known during the disbursement of the loans in Birnin Kebbi on Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Represented by the state Coordinator of the NDE, Alhaji Abdullahi Danjuma-Machika, Nuhu-Fikpo stated that each of the benefiting youths received N20,000 each to enable them to improve and expand their businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to him, the beneficiaries were drawn from the three Senatorial Districts of the state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nuhu-Fikpo said the various bank accounts of all the beneficiaries had been credited to enable them to set up their micro-businesses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cFrom experience, the NDE believes that N20, 000 can make a turn-around if seriously utilised in the establishment of micro ventures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201dThe Micro Enterprises Enhancement Loan Scheme is a scheme under the Small Scale Enterprises Department of the Directorate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt is an integral part of the Small Scale Enterprises of NDE, which has been anchoring this scheme over the years,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">According to him, a greater number of unemployed youths have been empowered through the scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt is expected that this loan is paid back to enable others benefit; it is a revolving loan which captures a lot of budding entrepreneurs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cNDE is still pursuing vigorously its onerous task of creating and generating jobs for unemployed Nigerians,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nuhu-Fikpo urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the loan to become self-reliant.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A cross-section of the beneficiaries commended the federal government for the empowerment initiative and pledged to judiciously utilise the money.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), has disbursed loans totalling N4.6 million to 228 unemployed youths in Kebbi State.
