Mr. Felix Duke, President, Creative Industry Group (CIG)<\/a>, says the Creative Industry Festival (CIFEST), earlier scheduled for May,\u00a0 has been postponed to a later date.<\/p>\n

Duke disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday in Lagos.<\/p>\n

He said that some necessary measures were still needed to put in place to make the festival a well-oraganised event.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThis call was made by our intending sponsors, who we are in talks with, to have a date that suits all parties.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe current state of the economy has affected certain aspects of the success of CIFEST by May, so we were advised by the sponsors and our delegates to put a hold on it.”<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter due deliberation, members of the CIG executives concurred. A later date will be announced in the nearest future. All foreign participants in the continent and beyond as well as states in Nigeria have been duly informed.”<\/p>\n
