{"id":21626,"date":"2022-04-27T19:07:30","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T19:07:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=21626"},"modified":"2022-04-27T19:07:30","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T19:07:30","slug":"fg-states-lgcs-share-n725-571bn-for-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/27\/fg-states-lgcs-share-n725-571bn-for-march\/","title":{"rendered":"FG, States, LGCs, share N725.571bn for March"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC), has shared the sum of N725.571 billion to the three tiers of government, as federation allocation for the month of March.<\/p>\n<p>This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Phil Abiawute-Mowete, Director, Information\/Press, Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/19\/fg-announces-new-name-for-national-theatre\/\">National<\/a> Planning, in Abuja on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Abiawute-Mowete said that from this amount, inclusive of Gross Statutory Revenue and Value Added Tax (VAT), the Federal Government received N277. 104 billion.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the states received N227.201 billion, the local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/18\/suspend-2023-elections-install-interim-government-after-buharis-tenure-afe-babalola\/\">government<\/a> councils got N167.910 billion, while the oil producing states received N53.356 billion as derivation (13 per cent of Mineral Revenue).<\/p>\n<p>The director said that the communiqu\u00e9 issued by the FAAC at the end of the virtual meeting, indicated that the Gross Revenue available from the VAT for March\u00a0was N204.402 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe distribution is as follows: Federal Government got N30.660 billion, the states received N102.201 billion, LGCs got N71.541 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGross Statutory Revenue of N521.169 billion was distributed according to the communique, from which the Federal Government was allocated the sum of N246.444 billion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStates got N125.000 billion, LGCs got N96.369 billion, Derivation (13 per cent Mineral Revenue) got N53.356 billion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It, however, said that add backs of VAT for the month for cost of collection is N8.780 billion, while that of Transfers\/Refunds\/Savings was N6.322 billion.<\/p>\n<p>It said the add backs of Statutory Revenue distributed to Cost of Collection is N35.631 billon and to Transfers\/Refunds\/Savings was N376.504 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Alawite-Mowete said that the communiqu\u00e9 also revealed that Petroleum Profit Tax (PPT), Oil and Gas Royalties, Import and Excise Duties, Companies Income Tax (CIT) and Value Added Tax (VAT) all recorded tremendous increases.<\/p>\n<p>It further said that total revenue distributable for the current month was drawn from Statutory <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/13\/bayelsa-govt-urges-rmafc-firs-to-review-revenue-sharing-formula\/\">Revenue<\/a> of N521,169 billion and VAT of N204,402 billion, bringing the total distributable for the month to N725,571 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The communiqu\u00e9 said that the balance in the Excess Crude Account as at April 27, stood at 35.372 million dollars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Federation Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC), has shared the sum of N725.571 billion to the three tiers of government, as federation allocation for the month of March.
