The All Progressives Congress (APC)<\/a>, Bauchi South, has urged members of the party to forgive one another and unite to reclaim power in the state in 2023<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the stakeholders from Bauchi South Senatorial Zone comprising seven local government areas of Alkaleri, Bauchi, Kirfi, Toro,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Dass, Bogoro, and Tafawa Balewa met on Wednesday to strengthen the party.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alhaji Abdulmumini Kundak, Bauchi South APC Vice Chairman, said the stakeholders\u2019 meeting was meant to strengthen and seek forgiveness among party members.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said the APC organized the stakeholders’ meeting to sensitize the people and improve internal democracy to forge the much-needed unity.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea is to know if there are problems, and if there are no problems, we get suggestions so that we can unite the party,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

APC chieftain, Alhaji Bashir Riminzayyam, said politics was all about tolerance, honesty, and forgiveness to promote internal democracy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe should stop pointing baseless accusing fingers at the leaders of the party at the state and national levels. <\/span>The leaders of the party should also support members by way of empowerment, especially those defeated at congresses and elections.”<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBy that, the party would have a sense of belonging, and membership would be strengthened across the state without bickering,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another stakeholder and chieftain of the party, Sen. Salisu Matori, called on everyone to come together, and work for the victory of the party in the forthcoming governorship election.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also urged the stakeholders, and members of the party, to unite for easy victory during the 2023 general election in the state.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matori said the leadership of the party had the responsibility to reunite members of the party after the rancour caused at different forums and occasions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Maryam Alexandra, a stakeholder, also stressed the need for constituting a reconciliation committee to resolve the differences between party members.<\/span><\/p>\n
