{"id":23466,"date":"2022-05-07T13:01:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T13:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=23466"},"modified":"2022-05-07T13:01:00","modified_gmt":"2022-05-07T13:01:00","slug":"kebbi-state-govt-takes-contributory-healthcare-service-to-grassroots-lg-boss","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/05\/07\/kebbi-state-govt-takes-contributory-healthcare-service-to-grassroots-lg-boss\/","title":{"rendered":"Kebbi State Govt. takes contributory healthcare service to grassroots \u2013 LG boss\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\" aria-label=\"Content\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">\u00a0Alhaji Aliyu Sambo-Zagga, Chairman, Bagudo Local Government, on Saturday expressed joy over the selection of Zagga Primary Health Centre as one of the facilities to enroll beneficiaries of Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">The council boss expressed this in an interview with our correspondent in Birnin Kebbi, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/05\/07\/icpc-to-track-550-projects-in-18-states\/\">state<\/a> capital.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He said the gesture proved that Kebbi State Contributory Health Centre Management Agency (KECHEMA) was really committed to bringing heathcare services to the door steps of the rural populace.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Sambo-Zagga observed that the easiest way to cater for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/05\/07\/kdsg-partners-unicef-for-comprehensive-service-delivery-in-health-education\/\">health<\/a> was to pay premium for the whole year under the state contributory health scheme, adding that \u201cin appreciation of inclusion of Zagga PHC, two prominent sons of the district have paid for 160 vulnerable groups in Zagga town\u201d.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">He described Dr Tukur Abba-Zagga and Mr Rilwan Usman as patriotic ambassadors of the district and appealed to wealthy people to emulate the gesture to enable more people to benefit.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">According to him, Bagudo Local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/04\/20\/afdb-host-consultations-with-governments-to-promote-blueprint-equip-africas-workforce\/\">Government<\/a> area is one of the largest in the country in terms of landmass.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cDr Abba-Zagga paid for 100 people, while Rilwan Usman, Controller, FERMA, Kebbi State Office, paid for 60.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">It is expected that at the end of the exercise, no fewer than 600 people would be enrolled at Zagga PHC,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Alhaji Aliyu Sambo-Zagga, Chairman, Bagudo Local Government, on Saturday expressed joy over the selection of Zagga Primary Health Centre as one of the facilities to enroll beneficiaries of Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF).
