Mr Nuhu Tafida, Village Head of Bogoro, Bauchi State, has urged politicians to preach love, peaceful co-existence and eschew bigotry,\u00a0 ethnic rivalry during political campaigns.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n
\n

Tafida made the call when the lawmaker representing Bogoro constituency at the Bauchi state House\u00a0 of Assembly<\/a>, Mr Musa Nakwada, paid him a visit on Sunday in Bauchi.<\/p>\n

The village head stressed the need for politicians to always show love to one another.<\/p>\n

He called on politicians from all political divides to close rank and work together to further elevate the state to enviable heights.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll politicians<\/a> should work towards building a prosperous, safe and secure state where people will continue to rise and claim the faith of their greatness.<\/p>\n

Let us show that politics can, and must be more enabling than how certain people may make it appear.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is\u00a0 apparent lack of love is what has bred religious intolerance, which in turn has led to violence and insurgency,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Tafida said leaders should lead with the fear of God to make them do\u00a0 the right things for the benefits of the citizens.<\/p>\n

He further urged citizens to be supportive of the activities of the government towards the growth and development of the state.<\/p>\n

The community leader commended Gov. Bala Mohammed for providing his communities with the dividend of democracy and appointment of their sons and daughters in his cabinet.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the lawmaker, Mr Nakwada, said he came to seek blessings from the community as well as carry out an oversight function.<\/p>\n

He also appreciated Gov. Mohammed for the infrastructure development of the communities in Bogoro Local Government area.<\/p>\n

Nakwada advised citizens to elect credible candidates who would be fair to all, regardless of race, religion and status<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
