Mr Joshua Amoko of Jesus the King Church, Ilorin\u00a0 has called on Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to focus more on youth empowerment and development rather than training old persons in the society.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n
\n
Amoko, who gave the advise in Ilorin on Friday in an interview with our correspondent said youths<\/a> deserved special attention.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to him, youths are expected to determine the economy of the country if well equipped.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cFor Nigeria economy to grow, there is need to empower youths. When youths are happy, the country\u2019s economy will flourish.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cProvide jobs for youths instead of focusing on market women alone; empower them with working tools and financial support<\/a> to be self dependent.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cGovernment alone cannot take care of the youths; it\u2019s everybody\u2019s responsibility. When youths are jobless, there is chances for increase in crime rate,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
