{"id":28092,"date":"2022-06-05T04:03:34","date_gmt":"2022-06-05T04:03:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=28092"},"modified":"2022-06-05T04:03:34","modified_gmt":"2022-06-05T04:03:34","slug":"aedc-attributes-instability-of-electricity-supply-to-reduced-load-allocation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/06\/05\/aedc-attributes-instability-of-electricity-supply-to-reduced-load-allocation\/","title":{"rendered":"AEDC attributes instability of electricity supply to reduced load allocation"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\" aria-label=\"Content\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">The\u00a0 management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has attributed the instability of electricity supply to reduced load allocation in it\u2019s franchise area.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>AEDC\u2019s Chief Marketing Officer, Mr Donald Etim in a statement in Abuja on\u00a0 Saturday, said the company was aware that the instability of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/05\/09\/aedc-assures-customers-of-steady-electricity-supply\/\">electricity supply<\/a> had persisted.<\/p>\n<p>According to him,\u00a0 AEDC\u2019s allocation is currently 228.65 Megawatts (MW) which is significantly lower than the average allocation of 650MW during optimal generation period.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dAEDC wishes to assure its customers that allocation received by the company will be equitably distributed while all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/06\/02\/stakeholders-advocate-domestication-of-gender-policy-in-agriculture\/\">stakeholders<\/a> relentlessly work towards a lasting solution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dWe sincerely regret the inconveniences and appeal for your usual understanding,\u201dhe said.<\/p>\n<p>In other\u00a0 news, President Mohammed Buhari has described the gas explosion which occurred on Friday at a Kano factory as \u201cextremely horrific\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>The president made his feelings known in a statement issued by his media aide, Malam <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2021\/11\/26\/garba-shehu-contends-president-buhari-deserves-credit-for-addressing-insecurity\/\">Garba Shehu<\/a>, in Abuja late Saturday evening.<\/p>\n<p>Buhari said he was distressed by the tragic accident, the second in the city in a month.<\/p>\n<p>About 201 residents of Sharada Quarters, Kano, were reported hospitalised after inhaling chemicals from a cylinder dismantled by metal scrappers.<\/p>\n<p>The president said: \u201cI am shocked and pained to hear about this tragic incident, so soon after the last gas explosion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur brave emergency response agencies and medical workers are trying their best to save lives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2019We are in constant touch with the field workers and the hospitals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He commended the immediate response of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/05\/29\/northwest-stakeholders-decry-poor-state-of-infrastructure-in-schools-recommend-urgent-redress\/\">Kano State Government<\/a> and the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed appreciation to hospitals in the state, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), State Emergency Management Agencies (SEMA) and the Nigerian Red Cross, for their support to the victims.<\/p>\n<p>The president wished all the injured<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0 management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has attributed the instability of electricity supply to reduced load allocation in it\u2019s franchise area.
