\u00a0The Enugu State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure, says it has commenced repair works on the University Road, Nsukka, and cautioned motorists to ensure free vehicular movement.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n
\n

This is contained in a press statement by the state Commissioner<\/a> for Works and Infrastructure, Mr Greg Nnaji, in Enugu on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The statement said the repair work is in keeping with the state government\u2019s commitment to road construction, rehabilitation and maintenance.<\/p>\n

The ministry, however, advised all motorists and other road users to exercise reasonable caution and look out for temporary regulatory road signs put in place at strategic locations along the road to ease movement and ensure their safety.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile soliciting the understanding and cooperation of all, the Ministry assured the public that all necessary measures have been put in place to ensure unhindered movement throughout the period of repair works,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n

In other news, The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has called on its members in Ondo State and environs to mobilise themselves to participate in the treatment of the people injured in Sunday\u2019s Catholic church<\/a> attack in Owo.<\/p>\n

The NMA President, Dr Uche Ojinmah, made the call on Sunday in a statement following gunmen\u2019s attack on worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, Owo.<\/p>\n

He also called on Nigerians in the affected area of the state to go to the hospitals where the injured were being treated to donate blood to save lives.<\/p>\n

Ojinmah said NMA received with shock and sadness the dastardly attack on innocent worshippers.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe recurrent shedding of innocent blood in our dear country has been going on for far\u00a0too long.<\/p>\n

\u201dIt is the position of the NMA that explanations, condemnations and reassurances are no longer comforting.<\/p>\n

\u201dThe NMA commiserates with the government and good people\u00a0of Ondo State over the loss of lives and prays for the quick recovery of those injured\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
