Chief Baron Eyo, Chairman, Labour Party (LP) in Cross River says Peter Obi, its presidential candidate remains the only candidate to bring about the \u201cimpossible\u2019\u2019 change Nigerians yearn.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n
\n

Speaking with our correspondent in Calabar on Tuesday, he dismissed the notion that the former Anambra governor<\/a> stood no chance of winning the 2023 presidential election.<\/p>\n

Eyo, also the chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Cross River, noted that Obi\u2019s antecedent in office as governor and as a businessman was already working for him.<\/p>\n

He said that Obi\u2019s acceptability by the majority of Nigerians had made him the candidate to beat at the 2023 presidential election.<\/p>\n

He said that in addition to his pedigree, Obi also has the qualification and age on his side to make him bring about the necessary changes in Nigeria\u2019s body polity.<\/p>\n

According to him, Nigerians<\/a> need a vibrant young person that can coordinate the country in areas of security and education, among other sectors.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not about just being a president, the president should be someone who can be called upon at any time and he will take up the challenge.\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

Eyo also told our correspondent that \u201cObi has come to rekindle the winning spirit of the Labour Party. We have structures across the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cMembers of the LP are die-hard ones. They are here because of the ideals of the party and not what they can get to make ends meet politically; they are here because they want to bring about that change that we all desire.<\/p>\n

\u201cObi\u2019s candidacy is already becoming a movement; you can see many Nigerians donating their resources, money, vehicles and buildings to be part of the movement.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
