They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The prosecutor, Insp Folake Ewe, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Dec. 3 at 2.00 p.m. at\u00a0\u00a0Camp area of Ile-Ido, Ibadan.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ewe said that the defendants\u00a0 vandalised rail lines\u00a0 by removing 147 pieces of the pandrock clips worth N80,000, property of the Nigeria Railway\u00a0 Corporation.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cPandrock clips is\u00a0 used to clip rail lines together,\u201d she said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The prosecutor submitted that removal of the clips\u00a0 could cause\u00a0 train derailment.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Ewe said that Yusuf stole the clips and sold them to\u00a0 Mohammed and Nuhu, in contravention of Section 383 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Defence counsel, Sunday Adediran, urged the court to grant his clients bail on liberal terms.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">The Magistrate, Patricia Adetuyibi, granted Yusuf\u00a0 bail in the sum of N100, 000 with two sureties in like sum, and admitted Mohammed and Nuhu\u00a0 to\u00a0 bail in the sum of N80, 000 each, with two sureties each in like sum.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three men, ThankGod Yusuf, Nuruanu Mohammed and Abdulmajeed\u00a0 Nuhu, on Thursday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates\u2019 Court, Ibadan, for allegedly vandalising rail lines.
