{"id":31368,"date":"2022-06-23T10:07:49","date_gmt":"2022-06-23T10:07:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=31368"},"modified":"2022-06-23T10:07:49","modified_gmt":"2022-06-23T10:07:49","slug":"nasarawa-state-reiterates-commitment-to-youth-friendly-programmes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/06\/23\/nasarawa-state-reiterates-commitment-to-youth-friendly-programmes\/","title":{"rendered":"Nasarawa State reiterates commitment to youth-friendly programmes"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\" aria-label=\"Content\">\n<p class=\"entry-title\">Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe has stated that the government will continue to come up with programmes that will benefit the youths in all relevant sectors.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>He said in Akwanga on Wednesday that Gov Abdullahi Sule led administration could not afford to neglect or toy with the future of youths in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Akabe made the assertion while declaring open a leadership retreat and inauguration of local government and development area officials of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/05\/19\/2023-youth-students-group-declares-support-for-atiku\/\"><strong>National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN).<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He said \u201cgovernment will always provide a platform for youths to explore their potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is why it is encouraging them to be resourceful for their general wellbeing and overall development of the state.<\/p>\n<p>He appreciated the youth for their support to the present administration, saying as a youth- friendly government, every necessary thing would be taken to improve their lots.<\/p>\n<p>The deputy governor urged officials of the youth council in the state to be exemplary in leadership.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that their input is needed to entrench the much desired socio-economic transformation of the state.<\/p>\n<p>In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, Vice Chancellor, ANAN University Kwall, Plateau, Prof. Musa Fodio, said \u201cto build the youths is to build the nation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the essence of the leadership retreat, the state Chairman of NYCN, Mr Ja\u2019afar Loko, noted that apart from orienting the newly elected local chapter officials, it was with a view to chatting a new course for the development of youths in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Loko explained that the training programme would expose participants to the rudiments of the council\u2019s activities and business of governance.<\/p>\n<p>On his part, the Chairman, Akwanga Local Government Area, Mr Safiyanu Isa-Andaha, commended the youth in the state for their support to the government.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nasarawa State Deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe has stated that the government will continue to come up with programmes that will benefit the youths in all relevant sectors.
