{"id":32553,"date":"2022-06-30T15:48:02","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T15:48:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=32553"},"modified":"2022-06-30T15:48:02","modified_gmt":"2022-06-30T15:48:02","slug":"court-grants-man-divorce-over-wifes-short-temper","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/06\/30\/court-grants-man-divorce-over-wifes-short-temper\/","title":{"rendered":"Court grants man divorce over wife\u2019s short temper"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\" aria-label=\"Content\">\n<p class=\"entry-title\">An Ado-Ekiti <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/06\/07\/court-grants-businessman-divorce-over-adultery\/\"><strong>Customary Court<\/strong><\/a> on Thursday granted a 45-year-old man, Ibrahim Idris divorce over his wife, Bosede\u2019s short temper.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">Idris, in his petition alleged that Bosede does not respect him and she picks a fight with him over the smallest issue.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Delivering judgment, the\u00a0President of the Court, Mrs Foluke Oyeleye observed that the marriage had broken irretrievably.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Oyeleye awarded custody of the child to Bosede and ordered that Idris should be responsible for the school fees.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">She also ordered that the child should attend a Muslim school and the petitioner is entitled to visit the child at any Muslim school that she attends.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">She said the petitioner shall pay N10,000 monthly for the upkeep, feeding and maintenance of the child.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Giving evidence, Idris said:\u201d<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">I have no rest of mind. She does not take\u00a0corrections and she threatens me.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cI have performed my duties as a husband and fathers.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cI want\u00a0custody of my child<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">because I want her to grow in Islam and attend a Muslim school like my other children,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Giving evidence, Bosede, 32, denied the allegations leveled against her by her husband.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cHe has not been taking care of our daughter.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\u201cMy daughter misbehaved after he took her away from me to live with him.
