Daodu, ordered that she should be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Daodu directed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/07\/04\/police-arrest-7-suspected-cult-members-recover-ammunition-in-edo\/\">police<\/a> to send the case file to the state director of public prosecutions for advice.<\/p>\n<p>She adjourned the case until July 14 for mention.<\/p>\n<p>The police had arraigned Agboye, who resides on Ganiyu Eatate by\u00a0 Igbolomu Bustop, Agric, Ikorodu, Lagos State.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor, Insp Sunday Bassey, told the court that Agboye committed the offence on June 24 on Oshinteye Street, Ketu, Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/06\/30\/n8bn-cbn-fraud-efcc-faults-defendants-earlier-testimony-of-never-being-indicted\/\">defendant<\/a> unlawfully and indecently dealt with the 11- year-old\u00a0 by flogging his buttocks with\u00a0 an electric wire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe victim, who has been living with the defendant for over three years, was sent to go and buy something and was given N1000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe came back to report that the money got lost and was beaten badly by the defendant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe victim sustained serious injuries on his buttocks and other parts of his body, \u201c he said.<\/p>\n<p>Reports have it that indecent treatment of a child attracts a seven-year jail term, according to\u00a0 Section 135 (1)(2) of the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Ogudu Magistrates\u2019 Court in Lagos State, on Monday, ordered remand of\u00a0 a 27- year-old woman,Eunice Agboye, for alleged indecent treatment of her 11- year-old nephew.
