{"id":38571,"date":"2022-08-10T15:17:09","date_gmt":"2022-08-10T15:17:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/?p=38571"},"modified":"2022-08-10T15:17:09","modified_gmt":"2022-08-10T15:17:09","slug":"herder-docked-over-alleged-unlawful-possession-of-live-ammunition-in-ibadan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/08\/10\/herder-docked-over-alleged-unlawful-possession-of-live-ammunition-in-ibadan\/","title":{"rendered":"Herder docked over alleged unlawful possession of live ammunition in Ibadan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 19-year-old herder, Umaru Mohammed, was on Wednesday arraigned in Magistrates\u2019 Court, Iyaganku, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/broadnews\/2022\/08\/05\/4-burnt-to-death-16-injured-in-lagos-ibadan-expressway-accident\/\">Ibadan<\/a>, for alleged unlawful possession of 16 rounds of live ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>The Police charged Umaru\u00a0with an undisclosed address on one count of alleged unlawful possession of live ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>The Prosecution Counsel, ASP Oluyemi Eyiaromi, told the court that Umaru on July 13, at about 9:00 a.m. in the Ojoo area of Ibadan, had in his possession, 16 rounds of live ammunition unlawfully.<\/p>\n<p>Eyiaromi alleged that the defendant could not give a satisfactory account of the ammunition and had\u00a0intended to\u00a0use it to commit felony\u00a0within Ojoo\u00a0area.<\/p>\n<p>He said the offence contravened Section 417 (d)\u00a0of the\u00a0Laws of\u00a0Oyo State,\u00a02000.<\/p>\n<p>The defendant however pleaded not guilty to the charge.<\/p>\n<p>The Magistrate, Mrs T. B.
