O. Odufuyi, refused to grant the defendants\u2019 plea; but she ruled that they should be remanded at the\u00a0 Kirikiri Correctional Centre until Sept. 6, for Director of Public Prosecution\u2019s advice (DPP).<\/p>\n<p>The defendants are; Yusuf Mohammed, 20, and Hassan Mohammed, 20, they live at Flower Mill, Odogunyan area, Ikorodu, Lagos. They are being tried for conspiracy and having in their possession, a locally-made gun.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor, Insp Glory Goodday, told the court that the offences were committed on July 21 at Imota area of Ikorodu in Lagos.Srate.<\/p>\n<p>Goodday said that the police stopped the defendants and one other currently at large on their way and they demanded to search them because their appearances looked suspicious.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor said that in the process of searching their bags, the third man ran away.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA locally -made gun was found in their bag, and they were arrested,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p>The offences according to the prosecutor contravene Sections 298 and 411 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2015.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An Ikeja Magistrates\u2019 Court on Thursday remanded two unemployed men at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly having in their possession a locally-made gun.
