Gov. Mai Mala Buni<\/a><\/strong> of Yobe has pledged his government\u2019s unwavering support to the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).<\/p>\n

Buni made the pledge when the newly posted Controller of Corrections to the state, Mr Yusuf Sambo, paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday in Damaturu.<\/p>\n

He said the NCoS would be included in the state\u2019s security council for synergy and proper coordination with other security organisations.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Sambo said inclusion of the service in the security council<\/a> would facilitate intelligence sharing among sister agencies for proactive approach to possible security threats.<\/p>\n

He noted that the service had the capacity to stabilise and change criminal behaviour of inmates and make them to become good citizens.<\/p>\n

He, therefore, solicited for support and cooperation of the state to enable the Service to discharge its mandate effectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
